My posting last week was relatively light due to a hectic business travel schedule Monday-Wednesday and then the Inman Real Estate Connect Conference in San Francisco.  It was great to be participating in the conference, but the big highlight for me was meeting CR of Calculated Risk and Merlin Mann both in person.  Connect had a great setup with an opportunity called “Meet the Leaders” where you could come up and talk to the keynote panelists.  I wasn’t missing out on meeting either of those two gentlemen and I’m glad I did.

If you haven’t you should check out Calculated Risk (it’s a must read for the mortgage/economy) and Merlin Mann (his site is a must read for productivity).

In addition to those two folks I met a ton of real estate bloggers (too many to name here) but it was great to meet all those folks and talk instead of blog and comment at each other!

Inman Connect - Awesome

Inman’s Real Estate Connect has long been regarded as one of the most popular real estate industry conferences, as it provides an excellent opportunity to network with others in the industry, particularly bloggers.

The folks at Inman News have been kind enough to provide us with 3 prepaid conference tickets, valued at $779 apiece, to Inman Connect in San Francisco July 23-25 to give away to real estate professionals of our choice. We thought, what better way to decide who is most deserving than to hold our own little competition?

So, what is required of you for a chance to win?

Write a consumer-focused blog post explaining how you use Zillow and have it posted by Monday, June 23rd. Possible topics you could write about include:

• Using Zillow to find your dream home
• How to use Zillow Mortgage Marketplace to obtain a loan
• Using Dueling Digs to find remodeling ideas

Helpful hints:

• Be creative! How original is your suggestion?
• Be useful! Will your suggestion really help home owners, sellers or buyers?
• Be clear! How effectively did you communicate your idea?

Spencer Rascoff, Zillow’s CFO and VP of Marketing will choose the 3 posts he likes the most (with some input from the rest of the Zillow Blog team) and award the tickets to the authors of those posts. Should you win, you will need to cover the cost of your accommodation and travel to San Francisco.

As an added bonus, the three lucky winners will also be treated to lunch or dinner with a few of us from Zillow and Joel Burslem from Inman News (date and time TBD).
